Latest NewsMadison—State Senator Bob Jauch (D-Poplar) and Representative Gary Sherman (D-Port Wing) will meet with interested citizens on Saturday, February 13 at 10:00 AM at the Great Lakes Visitor’s Center in Ashland to discuss the proposed Clean Energy Jobs Act.
MADISON—Both state and local officials will be involved in an effort to assist employees of Bird’s Eye Veneer, Inc. in Butternut, which announced on Friday it will be closing its doors on March 31st, State Senator Jauch (D-Poplar) said today. Forty-four employees who are currently working at the plant will be immediately impacted by the closure.
Superior—State Senator Bob Jauch (D-Poplar) and Representative Nick Milroy (D-Superior) said today that the recent discovery of VHS in Lake Superior warrants concern and should promote vigorous monitoring measures by state officials and careful practices by recreational users.
